It was 01-01-2006 morning 6.30, I got up. I was at my friend's house at kodambakkam. I was browsing through the channels, since I noticed the Ad of Guitar Prasanna's musical program (didn't remember the channel). Ended up with Raj TV. There was an instrumental program. Sax and the String instumentalist were playing good. But it was not the Prasanna's program.
7am I switched to Sun TV. There was a special Vanakkam Tamilagam. Wow!!! Prasanna's program was part of that Vanakkam Tamilagam. Prasanna played the "Grapevine" instrumental from his jazz album "Be The Change". I like that very much. Following that, the instrumental of "KanduKondaen KanduKondaen" song (AR Rahman's music) from "Kandukondaen Kandukondaen" film. It was amazing, the way he played the song in the guitar. He added bit of his own creativity and though he did not play the song as such, he sticked to the orginal mode of the song and embraced the main melody of the song. Especially, he repeated the prelude many times. It was really wonderful and great. Following that he, along with the co-instrumentalists, performed other instrumentals also which i dont know already. Every thing played in that program, was really a great work and sweet to listen in the morning. And it made me little brisk in that cold morning.
With that boosted energy, went to my friend's office at 8am and played TT. We played 5 sets each having 20 points. Oh God, I lost the 1st set :(. But thank God, I was able to come up in the rest of the sets. I got 4:1 win :) One way, the music I listened in the morning really helped me to stay energized and take up the last four sets.
I agree, that good music will keep you in good attitude. I have heared that there is Music Therapy, to treat and cure patients. Dont have much info on that now, and i'm slowly deviating from the topic. So I take my leave from this topic for now.
Wish you another year of nice musical journey.

If the links dont work good for you, please let me know by mail or simply by your comment in this blog.
Diwali_Kaapi : I made a post "My First Kaapi" some time before. This is an instrumental (not a song with lyrics). Finished this work by diwali 2006. This is in Kaapi raga. I like this piece of music very much. This clip contains the starting portion and the climax portion of the composition.
Inimai Kalanthu : I composed this song exactly one year before. I happend to meet a lyricist who stays in London and appears often in the BBC radio there, with her tamil works. She gave me her book of poems. And I took one poem among them (about "Mother"), composed a tune, put background music, recorded it and made the mp3. Since I did not get a good singer, I sang this song. This clip contains the initial portion of the song.
I posted these two compositions in the internal blog of my company. People gave impressive feedbacks, that encouraged me to do more in the coming days. So wait for more from me!!!
